I agree. They keep concentrating on samples of Churchill’s outrageous speech. That might have been a good strategy pre-trial (and where were they with the sound-bites then?), but it would have been a disastrous strategy for CU’s attorney at trial. Hell, just prior to the verdict being read, C&S had O’Rourke on, and he made basically the same point.

So let me see if I follow —
The whole point was to prove Churchill’s fraudulent scholarship and plagiarism. I guess C& P playing the Churchill sound over and over on their radio show is interesting background info on Ward’s character, but not the point. In fact, the opposite of the point. CU needed to prove they fired Chutch NOT based on his outrageous over-the-top American hatred, but on his fraud.

(I still think no matter how poorly O’Rouke did, the young jury was a joke.)
