That asshole Allahpundit was part of that distortion. He titled his blog:

Obama: Sure, I go skeet shooting all the time

Which of course is a complete misquote. But AP went ahead an pasted the actual quote:

Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.

The headline sticks because the majority of people don’t read anything beyond the headline because reading is teh hard.
