That has been a factor in a lot of the tepid support from the media and “serious” Republicans for Trump, the assumption that he won’t make it through his first year in office before being impeached and his VP taking the White House. They’re not voting for Trump, they’re voting for Pence.

And honestly in some ways Pence is worse than Trump as Cruz was in the primaries.
