Over in Iran, they’re dealing with a building fire/collapse that seems straight out of the horrific videos of the WTC collapse. A landmark skyscraper in Tehran that was on fire collapsed, and there’s unconfirmed reports of dozens of firefighters killed.
The building was built in the 1960s and tenants had been cited in the past for using kerosene heaters and other safety violations. The fire started on the upper floors, and the building collapsed.
I just read about this. Really awful. Regardless of how one feels about the Iranian government, like firefighters everywhere, these were good guys trying to save people.
