It suggests that being educated makes one more partisan and supportive of positions that harm them, if their party supports it. The issue they focus on for Democrats? More educated Democrats are more likely to favor increased taxes on the wealthy than less educated Democrats. I guess they don’t understand that Democrats may have more compassion for those who are less fortunate and may be more concerned about the well-being of our planet. Whoever these researchers are, they clearly have a right-wing bias. Seems in line with the Times concern about Trump voters.
