I stopped watching my favorite show, NCIS: Los Angeles (my favorite because LINDA HUNT IS SUCH A BADASS), when I realized that EVERY FUCKING EPISODE contains a shootout either in some public venue full of civilians, or in a private residence where the walls and furniture are shredded with automatic weapons fire.

Every. Single. Episode. And sometimes more than once (shootout in some guy’s house, then another shootout at the mall or on the beach)

One thing I like about Criminal Minds is that they *usually* will try to talk the murderer down from killing anyone. They aren’t always successful, but there are enough times when they do that it’s worthwhile.
