OT - We went to the California State Railroad Museum today (my wife loves railroads, growing up next to the Illinois Central railyard in Chicago). She got to drive a high-speed rail simulator (it simulates a Japanese train). She has been all happy since, since she didn’t kill anyone in the simulation.

She wanted to be a locomotive engineer growing up, but was constantly told (by family and friends) “that’s not women’s work.” She instead became a software engineer.

Didja see the Cab Forward locomotive? Amazing things! Ginormous! Strange, too, with the firebox and cab in front!
