and the smoke got so heavy that it completely disappeared about an hour later. A light layer of ash has fallen for the last two days (and is still falling). The nearest fire to us is the Slater Fire near the Cal/Ore border and Highway 199. That one is at 120,000 acres and is 0% contained. They’ve evacuated the Gasquet area and the Hiouchi area is on alert to leave at a moments notice. Looking at the satellite imagery it looks like western Oregon is nothing but fire and smoke. The air here makes you gag at times and our HEPA air filters are working overtime to keep things breathable at home.

The stupid rural fucks are spreading fake news that Antifa/BLM are starting the fires, which means that they need to grab their guns, head out and threaten random people that they see in their area. Oh, and flood the 911 call centers asking about Antifa arsonists that had been arrested (no, none have been arrested).
