Civ 5 is great, IMHO. With civ 4 playing on diety, you have to hope to find a settler in a hut early on and essentially start with 2 cities. It’s been like a decade since I’ve played 4 though.

From reading, I think I’d miss the religion aspect—it fits well with my Anthro schooling. It looks like Civ6 variants let you dial it back in.
