Instead of protesting taxes, I’m at work, so I can pay them!

And here in California, we’re dedicating 100% of our incomes from Jan 1st to about July 20th to pay our Federal and State. It will not get better as long as the focus for increasing tax revenues are higher rates as opposed to growth. California and NY have probably the worst state economies in the country - and the highest tax rates. And people think even higher tax rates will fix it?

Why doesn’t anyone correlate the times when government revenues are the highest - it’s not when the rates are the highest, but when the economy is growing?
