I’m seeing that. Would a former Republican appeal to the Dem base though? If he were to run though, it would seem to me that Cindy and the kids would support him since he’s close to the McCain family from what I see and he actually supported HRC. I don’t know Arizona’s Dems though. I also know that we have to be practical with this seat too.

Your comment reminded me I saw a comment at another forum from a dedicated left leaning liberal that I know from Arizona. He said that Kyrsten Sinema is a DINO (Democrat in name only). I have seen other comments similar. So, I am guessing that to win a seat in Arizona as a Democrat you have to be fairly conservative politically.

I think I saw where she backed Trump 60% of the time as a House Rep.

Looks like Arizona is another state that needs a Manchin type Democrat, so that is sure to cause some issues with voting on certain liberal policies with pure lefties.

I look at it all as a transition in American politics. The right has gone so far right it has opened up a huge middle that even politicians called Democrats can fill if they are somewhat conservative. Maybe in time that transition can lead to more and more pure liberal policies. Or, it will lead to another party that will replace Republicans just by need.
