Yeah Carter I believe famously appeared with George Wallace and Coretta King. Definitely a weird map.

By 1975 Wallace had repudiated his racial past and had redeemed himself with some of the Southern Civil Rights leaders.

For example he and Johnny Ford became good friends, and Johnny spent many a night at the Alabama governors mansion.
