Do you think he will ever stand up to the Tea Party extremists and just say No to them about anything at all? He hasn’t yet and that is why he has ceded the middle ground. In Massachusetts he was in the minority party and had to compromise and make deals with the other side. In today’s GOP, there is no room for that and he’d be demonized for compromising anything with the Dems, so I don’t know if how he governed in MA means very much here.

It’s hard to tell. I think he’d be fine with a Dem controlled congress, more open to comprimise once in office. But with Republicans in control of both houses there’s no telling what kind of nonsense he’d sign into law. I’m much more worried about congressional Republicans that I am concerned with Mitt.
