I was a folk music freak throughout the 60’s (mostly the Kingston Trio but also branched out to other artists). I vaguely remember Bonnie and this song. What a great voice. And yes, I also remember Barbara Dane and she could belt.
Also enjoyed Judy Collins, Carolyn Hester, Chad Mitchell Trio, and the Limelighters. It seems “the young folks” (Mumfords et al) have revived and transformed folk music and I think that’s a good thing. I always thought there was potential for folk music market today.
