Typhoon Jebi causing major damage in western Japan. Kansai airport is flooded and a tanker has rammed into the only connecting bridge to the mainland disabling both car and train connection. Kyoto Station also damaged. I haven’t seen reports on more extensive damages, though at least one life claimed.

I’m supposed to go on a trip to Japan in one month and the first stop is Kansai airport. I’m sure they’ll be up and running by then. I hope.
