Where will they go?

Some wind up here. I’m sure there are other places, but I don’t spend a lot of time looking.

And, of course, there’s the real world, which is much larger and more interesting than the Internet. After my close encounter with an Internet stalker, I swore off forums for about three years, and just read the articles. I happened to be reading something here when registration opened up, and so far it’s been much more pleasant than my earlier experience.

But as a practical matter, people often just leave, I think.
