Because if I were them, there is one territory exchange, with a mile of so of the West Bank nearest Tel Aviv going to Israel, and the little divot Israel has between the West Bank and Jordan to the north going to West Bank.

The Jordan Valley is essential for Israel to keep in order to maintain minimal security, otherwise it is putting Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion airport within rocket range.
