OK. It’s a Protestant idea if I’m not mistaken. At least the American Protestant version. So it’s no surprise that the Republican Party is overwhelmingly Protestant. And no surprise that was have “Free Market Jesus.”

Yes. They believe that the poor are being punished by god or have done something to deserve or merit poverty. Likewise that the rich are beloved by god, and that’s why they’re rich.

I saw we had some of that going on here the other day where someone was insisting that two people could live just fine on 8 dollars an hour. /
