They were calling up so many people for that one, so they went through and did the excuses first and then were going to call back the people who weren’t excused for a second day to start the actual selection process.

I really didn’t want to go back for a second day. Two weeks away from my research would not have gone over well with my adviser and I didn’t think the chances of me being selected were all that high.

I’ve been called twice and not been selected. Not sure what I’d do if they’d call me up for the interview. Being an atheist, I have at least an intellectual objection to swearing on a Bible. Problem is, I don’t know how’d that go over with the judge.

Even on the hedonistic, evil, liberal East Coast, atheists don’t exactly go over well.
