I agree about justice. If there is an argument for the death penalty, this is it. In front of many witnesses gunning down 17 adults, some to their death, plus a 9 year old child. I can’t begin to imagine what the family is going through now.

But DNA is not a moot point. It saved many innocent lives. And another reason I’m generally not in favor of the death penalty.

DNA evidence may help to resolve old cases. It is a given in todays criminal investigation. There is very little liklihood of a bad conviction in these current cases.
