re: #372 wrenchwench
I went 50 MPH once. Never again.
(I was drafting the big guy with the good hubs.)
First time I ever exceeded 40 mph, the bike started to shimmy. Scared the hell out of me! Then I got a professional fit that raised the saddle 1 cm, moved it forward 1 cm, and dropped the bars 1 cm. After that, no shimmy all the way up to 45.
Also no knee pain even after 5 hours and lots of climbing, which was really the point. Money well spent.
