Wow! That is a blast from the past for me!
Back in the 1970’s when I was in college (University of Pittsburgh) I had a group of Scots-Irish friends from east of Pittsburgh. One friend had a farm on Laurel Ridge. We used to go up there on occasional summer evenings, build a fire and listen to Clancey Brothers music. The guys’ favorite song was “Shoals of Herring”. The gals’ preferred “Gypsy Rover”.
