When I rode my bike across Kansas, each little town had a guy with a garage who served as the town’s bike mechanic. You could ask anyone on a bike, and they would point the way, or take you there. That was in 1986.

If you see an adult on a bike around here, and he’s not wearing spandex, he’s working off that last DUI.
