Interesting to see what the Democrats do in that situation. Certainly Nancy would agree to $5 billion for border security in exchange for DACA, but not a wall. The wall should always have been part of separate legislation and not a CR.

What Trump-McConnell-Jared are hoping to do is to change the narrative by wanting to claim Democrats are hypocrites by not accepting what they offered before. As much as the government needs to reopen, the GOP shutting down government to try to get what they want has to end, and it especially has to end for Trump. I would take it if and only if Trump on camera states that he will no longer shut down the government over the wall.
