I’m not sure about this, but as far as I can remember I’ve never watched Current TV.

In this contemporary age of overpriced information spouts, I suppose it ought not be surprising that someone paid good money for a limited information stream, yet I can’t help but be skeptical that it will matter one whit.

Broadcast and cable media companies are having a hard problem in holding onto their audiences, and average viewership for most tv programs is rather small.

Someday the whole media bubble might collapse spectacularly. I’ll wait.

I think tv networks are soon going to follow record companies into the dustbin of history. Users can now easily pick and choose content over the web and soon people are going to learn that self publishing is easy and cheap. There’s not much need for big money backing from a network to produce and distribute a show. Any show, comedy, drama or news. It’s just writers, some gear for filming and editing and some actors. It’s all the same.
