It occurs to me that the Roseburg shooter’s mom and the Sandy Hook shooter’s mom, were both pro-gun fanatics, amassed arsenals, told all their friends and talked constantly about their fetish, they knew their sons were mentally ill and did this anyway… I know two data points is a little thin for a generalization, but it’s worth looking into other mass shooters’ parents. What do we know about the Aurora shooter’s parents, or the Tuscon shooter, or Virginia Tech, or others?
