You work there! That’s fantastic. The wife and I have been to Palomar, Lowell and Mt Wilson.
I had a great time up there five years ago. I love photography opportunities up there. Is it signal noise that screws with the towercam sensor? Or just a worn cam up there?

Not sure about the camera on the 150’ solar tower. Your pic is the 100” declination drive on the west side of the yoke; I’ve climbed up there a few times. I’ve operated that historic beast both before and after it was converted for public observing. I’m a very lucky amateur astronomer; never expected I would one day get to use these famous scopes.
