West Virginia is a deep red state; we cannot afford to lose any seats. Polite emails to Manchin may help but if he thinks the Democrats are going to reject him, he may just switch and it will be that much harder for the good guys to gain control of the Senate. He gets enough hate from liberals and “progressives” and is probably courted on a daily basis by McConnell.

North Dakota is equally red. Heidelcamp signed on. I understand that Manchin can’t be progressive on most or even a plurality of issues, we need an uniting set of principles and one of them needs to be in opposition to this policy.
