It’s discouraging legal Hispanics as well as illegals from staying in AZ. And transferring the problem to another state can’t really be defined as a solution, can it?

Legal residents have nothing to fear from the law, and I’d guess the vast majority know it. I’m a military wife, so I have to show ID all the time…at the doctor, at the base grocery store, at the gate driving in, etc. It’s no big deal. And if a cop pulls me over, I expect to be asked for my driver’s license. As long as I’m not trying to go somewhere restricted, I’m fine. The same goes for any legal resident of AZ.

If neighboring states want to step up immigration enforcement, they should do so. AZ has a real problem in Phoenix and on the border with violent crimes committed by non-citizens, and AZ chose to try to combat that problem. I don’t live or vote there, so I’m OK with allowing them to tackle their problems the way they see best.
