I’ve started to consider putting the Conspiracy Compound on the market and getting the hell out of Texas.
The Irving clock incident wasn’t really the last straw, of course, but it’s significant because something like this happens EVERY FUCKING DAY IN THIS NUTHOUSE! The City of Irving itself is involved in a legal fight to keep a mosque from being built. Our governor thinks Labor Day is a day to celebrate union-bashing. Our school boards are run by superstitious quacks. I could go on and on. Texas will eventually turn blue but I am too damn old to wait on it, and there is no telling how far the downward spiral of lethal right wing redneck bullshit will go in the meantime.
