I saw that Sanders was echoing Trump on Amazon yesterday. Why? Why not speak out for the DACA kids? Amazon got big because they provide valuable services at timely rates and because they have an amazing selection.

Amazon took advantage of some tax loopholes when it got started, namely that, in a lot of states, people were supposed to pay sales taxes to their states if the company did not collect them. Now, though, Amazon collects and pays taxes in most states. Not having stores has allowed them to minimize costs that physical stores don’t. But I think the biggest reason Amazon is doing so well is that you can get things through their site that you can’t always get in a store. I haven’t found a physical store that carries Harold & Maude.

Edit: But, I meant to add, that the attacks on Amazon are solely about WaPo’s investigating Trump.
