This morning’s credit card processor sales phone call:

-determines I am the owner
-launches into pitch, including great rates, guaranteed for as long as I use their wonderful processing service
-asks whether I swipe or scan cards
-finds out I don’t take cards
-I add, ‘I took cards for 17 years. Never again.’
-She says, ‘I don’t blame you one bit.’

The sales people know. They don’t even try when they find out I know.

Credit cards suck for the businesses that accept them. Most of them can’t afford not to, due to consumer demand.
