On one hand there is a point there. On the other, it’s a really crappy comparison insofar as I (and a LOT of people, especially in Israel right now where her comment is making headline news) am concerned.

The kindertransport to the UK, and the St Louis, were both several years before the Einsatzgruppen, or the transports to the camps, or the Wannsee Conference. Nobody yet imagined that systemic mass murder & annihilation was on the way.
