I’m sorry; I honestly don’t think it’s that offensive. He said he got the kind of score someone in the Special Olympics would get. That’s it. That just isn’t that shocking to me.

What did you guys think about the Black Eyed Peas having to change their song “Let’s Get Retarded?”

A few points.
First of all, no sitting US President has ever appeared on an evening Comedy/variety television before.
Ask yourself why not.
This guy is supposed to be the leader of the free world, the person that everyone looks up to. The person who sets the tone.
Remember that bit about a “new politics” from Obama?
Here it is.
Was this a politically smart thing to say or do?
You can debate how tasteless this remark was…maybe.
There are professional comedians who might get away with that sort of thing.
But there is no debate, that this kind of “comedy” is NOT appropriate coming from a sitting US president.
