Because the alternative is a poor choice. As someone mentioned, Brown is both serious and dedicated, and experienced. I have more confidence in him making hard choices with all of California in mind, than his opponent.

Whitman is no Fiorina, fortunately, so even if she does win it won’t be a disaster. Whitman though has been pulled too far right for my tastes, by the ultra-right, tea partying crowd that is trying to take over the GOP.
