The contraception controversy is a slippery slope. I think the Schaivo case shed some light on it. Life support could be construed as “playing god”, I would think, pretty easily by any religion. Therefore going against gods will.

Oh, if you wanted to play Devil’s Advocate, there’s a shitload of ways we “go against God’s will” every day. Every time you pop a pill for a medical malady, you are going against “his will,” whether it be to hold back a heart attack or simply to clear up acne. I’d like to ask one of these bishops who have their knickers in a bunch of all this if saving a premature baby is “going against God’s will” because we are keeping alive a child that God saw fit to push from the womb before it was ready to survive on its own.
