Trump is, however, successfully spinning the narrative to make it seem that anyone who has a problem with Trump also automatically disrespects the Flag. That will play very well with his base and the red-meat outrage media.

Considering the mass of veterans pushing back on this on Twitter at least, I don’t think he’s getting the outrage he’s looking for other than those who are perpetually outraged.

My senator’s concern trolling on the subject (Ben Sasse saying “don’t protest that way, it will give Trump what he wants”) was torn apart on this personal Twitter feed.
