I have every sympathy for people who remain closeted, for people who struggle with their sexuality, for people who are in pain. I have NONE WHATSOEVER for a douchebag who has devoted his life to persecuting others— and how do you know it’s shame and selfloathing that makes someone like him be a hypocrite? Maybe it’s just that he’s a fuckwad who knew he could make himself a nice living by being a hypocritical douchebag.

I completely agree with you that there’s a special place in hell for people of his kind. That is, if hell existed. That being said, I still find it more pathetic and sad than anything else.
