Well, at least you can acknowledge that the idiots who didn’t vote because “OBAMA DIDN’T GIVE ME THE PONY I ASKED FOR” are idiots, so I guess that’s progress.

Maybe since you’re not on the ground here and aren’t seeing how fired up people are in general, it’s easier to give into despair. There’s a level of civic engagement going on that I have never seen and it’s not in Trump’s favor. I’m not giving up. (Which is, btw, how the “Obama’s ultimate legacy will be letting the US slip away to fascism” bullshit comes across.)

Yeah, it’s encouraging to see the engagement and the activism, and a lot of my more liberal FB friends who were not so outspoken on politics are stepping up. I just wonder where all this was before the election. Drumpf hasn’t magically changed his stripes just because he cheated his way to victory.
