I’ve mostly come around on the idea of universal basic income. Done right, I think it could replace a solid chunk of the social safety net while allowing people to better live their lives as they see fit. Just got to figure out that’s “done right” part

You know, I know you lean libertarian and I’ve gotten a couple libertarian buds to admit they’re sympathetic to that and they definitely agreed they’d rather the government spend more on social programs than the military. My belief is this. I believe the government since it is we the people should be investing in we the people and that means things like education, infrastructure, health care, and yes making sure people don’t go hungry. Massie is a Paul style wackjob that has his head up Von Mises’ Institute’s ass and doesn’t realize that economics is about living and breathing people.
