I hope that by “lately” you only mean “as recently as the Lila Rose thread,” because I don’t think that I’ve been especially abrasive before that. At least, not since years ago.

But anyway, to give you and Charles a serious answer — I trust both of you enough, both as Net-friends and as intellects, to expect that you’ll forgive me for being brusque once in a while. But having said that, I want to apologize for having been rude to Charles publicly, when I could’ve said it by email, instead.

You’ve always struck me as one who had respect for Charles, so to see you get very rude with him is startling. He’s well aware I don’t always agree with him, but I never stoop to rudeness when I express these contrary views.

It really bothered me the other day to see you up ding a person saying I mindlessly down ding people. I don’t do that, and it upset me you would think I do. There’s always a reason for my dings, and this “mindless ding” crap is just that- crap.

These things together just make me wonder what’s up with you, because it’s not like you at all.
