I did a core shot on those mantras off a rock. Took them into the shop and skied the rest of the weekend on my Katanas. Got my Mantras back on Sunday afternoon in perfect condition - patroller price: $20. :) I tipped the guys $5.

At the luxury goods purveying ski shop I work at we’ll charge $75 to $100 to the Hyatt guest who wants the same work done.

My policy is this. If we’re friends: Edge/Wax=$10 or sixer of choice IPA, Base Welds/Serious edging/machining of skis=12 pk of IPA or $20. Blown-out sidewalls, busted/missing edges/severely gouged topsheets=GET NEW SKIS, DUDE!
