Speaking of writing, and problems thereunto, do any of you literary lizards know of a good/safe free Word to PDF converter? I need to turn a Word doc formatted for 6x9 pages to a PDF that retains the 6x9 size instead of floating the text in the standard 8.5x11 page. Using Word for Mac on an Airbook — will pay for the Adobe subscription if I have to, but really don’t need it. :(

Did you try the built-in “Print to PDF” option? Go to File/Print… In the bottom left corner of the Print dialog window there should be a pull-down menu for printing to PDF directly. I’m not in front of my Mac, so this is off the top of my head.
