im still leaning to the notion that this is a campaign tactic. to give just enough people ‘permission’ to vote “dem/not trump”.

were biden to win, and depending on what happened in the house/senate, i dont think he has any illusions about trying to govern that way. (he’s seen mcconnell)

I genuinely believe that if Biden won the presidency, it would be a replay of the Obama years, with a lot of good-faith and genuine efforts at bipartisanship reduced to bloody chunks by a Republican Party whose base cannot abide any thought of the other side “winning.”
