As a middle-aged fogie myself, I think far too many people my age and older don’t have much of a clue what’s going on either. The whole point of “OK, Boomer” was to push back on the “back in my day I worked a part time job and went to college, so you can just suck up your college debt” and “give up avacado toast and buy a house,” neither of which work today. And then there’s the whole generation growing up on training at school to dodge bullets. None of those things are workable in the long run.

I like most of the incumbant challenges they are backing. Lipinski and Cuellar need to be replaced. I think the Cornyn one isn’t going to work, but as long as they back Hegar, that’s ok.

As someone said back after the 2016 election, these “kids” have grown up on Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and a whole host of fiction telling them that not only can they not rely on adults to take care of them, but that the adults may be part of the problem. We can’t just expect them to just vote as we see fit. We kinda messed it up. It’s going to be their world.
