Here’s the problem with the 25th Amendment approach - you need a majority of the Cabinet and the VP to trigger it. That means you need 9 of these 16 people to sign off on having Trump temporarily removed:

Pence, Tillerson, Mnuchin, Mattis, Session, Zenkie, Purdue, Ross, Acosta, Price, Chao, Perry, DeVos, Shulkin, and Kelly.

I could see Pence, Mattis, Price, Chao, Perry, and Kelly signing off if they got the nod from Ryan and McConnell (hell, Mattis and Kelly might do it just because). Maybe through in Purdue and Zenkie. That’s 8, best case scenario. I think Sessions goes down with the ship and the rest are too deep in Trump’s pocket to make the move.

And here’s the rub, let’s say they get 9 signatures. Trump sends a letter saying he’s fine and then before the Cabinet can send the second letter saying he’s not fine, he fires the 8 cabinet officials who signed the letter (he can’t fire Pence). That’s a straight constitutional crisis the likes of which we haven’t seen before.
