Thatโs more the case with the civilian modified 4x4s and pickups. Sure fast moving water can be a hazard to any vehicle, but military truck are designed to do water crossings. Remember, it was Army HEMTTs that first reached the Superdome after Katrina, and FMTVs that provided transport later during search and rescue/recovery operation. Most of the people being rescued now by small boats could likely be reached by these vehicles. And, those that need boat rescue still need transport after reaching shallower water
