Blockbuster style movies are going to have broader appeal, including worldwide appeal because the overseas market is just as important or even more important as it’s a growing market. Hollywood realizes there is a huge population of moviegoers and production companies in China willing to finance Hollywood movies if there’s a Chinese angle to the story or a Chinese actor in them. The stupendous success of Black Panther has probably opened up the African markets, too.

It makes no business sense to ignore entire demographic groups. Whites are not the only people with money.
