I think Barr’s original task had been to cobble up an Official Report that would hit all the rIght RW fever-swamp conspiracy-theory buttons, and be released to great fanfare. Which would (they hoped) at the very least, provide some red meat for the “Lock Her Up” crowd, and muddy the waters enough re the impeachment inquiry to deflect guilt/attention away from the WH.

The righties are all over this testimony expecting everyone and their brother (who has any D relationship) will be going to prison.
