Used to be. The Tribune broadcast properties (including WGN radio and TV in Chicago and KTLA in Los Angeles) had already been split apart from the newspapers a few years ago, and just recently were sold to Nexstar Broadcasting, which is a pretty middle-of-the-road operator of local TV stations.

Hmmm they didn’t say that in the LA Times when SincLIAR tried to buy KTLA in Los Angeles. LA Times said that Tribune still owned it!
